Safety Training Made Possible By Ohio’s Natural Gas & Oil Industry
Thanks to Ohio’s natural gas and oil producers, this training is provided free of charge to Ohio first responders!
This training, a first of its kind in the nation, has provided training to more than 1,600 firefighters and first responders. This training teaches common practices, references and standards used by the fire service and the natural gas and oil industry. This training is comprised of virtual curriculum, as well as in-person and hands-on training to offer insight into the processes and equipment involved with oil and gas exploration, drilling, and producing, the importance of establishing a unified command in the event of an emergency, and use of foam, water, and other resources to combat certain scenarios.

In-person and hands-on training held at the Wayne County Fire & Rescue Regional Training Facility in Apple Creek, Ohio. (6.5 CE hours)
