Abigail May of Randolph earns scholarship from Ohio oil, gas program

Record-Courier. Abigail May of Randolph has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program and The Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Foundation.

May was one of 36 students in Ohio who will receive the award given to students pursuing a career in the natural gas and oil industry. The 2021 class of award winners is  represented by individuals across 17 Ohio counties, 18 institutions of higher education, 15 local school districts and covering 22 different majors.

Scholarships are awarded to students interested in obtaining training certifications and associates or bachelor's degrees in relevant fields of study. To qualify, students complete an application process and must be an Ohio resident or plan to attend an accredited Ohio institution of higher education. The $1,000 annual scholarship may be renewed with a total of four years of potential eligibility.
